First Roller Coaster Experience

I have the best memory of Disney’s Space Mountain with my Dad. We got in the long line, and when it was finally our turn to get on the ride, I chickened out. [I know you are thinking, not sassy Mary K.] Well, I was a kid then and I remember it like it was yesterday. My heart was pounding and was scared. It was the unknown.

My Father looked down at me and said in a calm and warm voice, “You have a decision to make. Either get on the ride and face your fears or wonder for a long time why you didn’t get on the ride.”

Next thing you know we were off. I screamed the whole way, enjoyed every moment and I was hooked on roller coasters. When the coaster pulled back in, the attendant offered to let us go a second time.

That was something money couldn't buy.
