Alabamians Get Ready for a Roller Coaster of Temperatures
The past few days have been on the warmer side for it to be February. By chance, yesterday did you have to (as my mother would say) click on the AC? I did and I couldn’t believe it. I was like “it’s February.”
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “most communities will be under a sunny sky this afternoon, but the day will be breezy and sharply colder with highs in the 40s over the northern third of the state. Temperatures across South Alabama will settle into the 50s. Tonight will feature a clear sky with temperatures falling into the 20s in most places.”
Weekend Outlook
In general, this weekend in our area you can expect a warming trend with sunny days and clear nights. Saturday the high should be in the 50s while Sunday in the 60s.
Next Week
Here is where the rollercoaster of temperatures comes into the picture, early this week temperatures were up, then it is expected to go down over the weekend, and back then up for next week. “It looks like the warmest week so far this year, with potential for highs exceeding 80 degrees by Wednesday and Thursday,” said Spann.
