Temp Guide: Alabamians Get Prepared for Summer's Hottest Conditions
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “a decent part of the U.S. will experience the hottest weather of the summer this week as a strong upper high takes over."
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said “heat indices will remain in the triple digits through the rest of the work week and into the weekend.”
Dangerous Conditions Are Impacting Various Areas Across the United States
Excessive heat warnings portions have been issued for Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Heat Advisories have been issued for portions of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Heat Index Values Soar Up to 109 in West Alabama
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Heat Advisory.” This advisory impacts the following counties in West Alabama now through Wednesday at 9 p.m.
