Almost Famous: Northport Man to Open For Gucci Mane Tonight

Corey Horton also known as 'YFM Corey" is a local rapper with big dreams. Tonight, the local Northport man, will be opening up for Atlanta rapper, Gucci Mane. This is a big deal, but Horton tells Tuscaloosa News, that he's not letting it get to his head. In fact, he's still in shock that it's happening for him.

Corey has been rapping for years in the community, but he didn't take it too serious. His friends and family told him that he should pursue a career. However, at the end of the day, Corey's main objective is to provide for his family. His mother is his inspiration, and she pushes him every day to do better.

So far, he's released one mixtape on music sharing site, Spinrilla, called "Still Chasing My Dream". He has plans to release the sequel to that mixtape, " Still Chasing My Dream 2", in the next few months.
