To celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, the City of Tuscaloosa is partnering with the 151st Army Band to host a free community concert. It will be held on Tuesday, June 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Government Plaza in Downtown Tuscaloosa, located at 618 Almon Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.

“This patriotic event is open to the public and is part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, a milestone honoring our nation’s history, resilience, and shared ideals,” said the press release.

The 151st Army Band will visit other Alabama cities, such as Daphne, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, and Montgomery, in the weeks leading up to the Fourth of July.

“It’s truly an honor for Tuscaloosa to be chosen as one of the cities to host the 151st Army Band,” said Kay Day, Executive Director of Arts & Entertainment. “We look forward to welcoming them to our City and enjoying an evening of music with our community.”

The performance will showcase stirring musical selections that honor courage, freedom, and unity at the heart of the American story.
