Attention Tuscaloosa: Try This Ridiculously Easy Hack to De-Ice Your Windshield
This week's forecast calls for more cold nights in West Alabama, and that means you're going to have to de-ice your windshield before hitting the road for work or school.
I know many of y'all are fortunate enough to live that rich people/middle class fancy life which means you a) have a car with remote start b) have a garage or c) you are a Lord or Lady who has both.
But for the rest of us, cold weather means you have to head out and start the car, giving it time to warm up and defrost the windshield. I have to add an extra 10 minutes to my morning prep time--and forget about it if there's been a hard freeze the night before.
I am a dainty flower who is not meant for scraping ice, so imagine my shock (and awe!) when I came across this simple and effective way to de-ice a windshield.
And the best part? You only need a Ziploc bag and hot water! Check it out.
AMAZING. The hot water will quickly melt the ice and there's NO MESS. It's not like you can just pour hot water on a cold windshield. You'll either get a refreeze or end up cracking the glass.
But this?
This is GENIUS. Give this woman a Nobel Prize.
