Welcoming Alabama Men’s Basketball in 12 Days
Alabama is ranked No. 25 in USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll, which was released on Thursday. Last week the Tide received 50 votes from the Associated Press top 25 preseason poll and is ranked No. 29. The top rankings do not stop there, the Crimson Tide is also ranked No. 14 in Blue Ribbon Basketball Yearbook preseason rankings. The Stadium had Alabama ranked at No. 18 nationally.
SEC football Weekend May Be Coming to a Halt
The SEC football weekend is dwindling by the hour with numerous teams in the conference having a COVID-19 outbreak. Four SEC games have been postponed due to one team the other experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri are all having to rework their schedules due to the virus.
Tuscaloosa County Takes Down Gadsden City
The Tuscaloosa County Wildcats (1-4) won against the Gadsden City Titans (3-3) in a close game on Friday night.
Wildcats Overtake the Panthers in a Region Game
The Hale County Wildcats (4-1, 2-1) had a cat fight against the Southside Selma Panthers (1-4, 0-3) on Saturday night. The teams opted for a Saturday kickoff due to Southside Selma quarantining the last two weeks after experiencing COVID-19 exposure. The Panthers played valiantly despite not practicing the last two weeks but the Wildcats won the game 27-16.
The Rebels Revolted Against the Knights and Won 40-27
Bessemer Academy Rebels (2-1, 1-1) revolted against the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights (1-2, 1-1) on Thursday Knight. The final score was 40-27.
