Birmingham Police Working 6th Homicide in 6 Days

Birmingham police are having a busy week. They are currently investigating the 6th homicide in 6 days.

The latest homicide is the stabbing death of Curtis Lee Johnson, a 48 year-old man. A friend found him unresponsive and called authorities. He was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.

Police have little information on what or where Johnson's stabbing took place. All they know, is that he was stabbed in the chest.

In total, this is the 10th homicide of the year.

The other five homicides that happened over the course of the week were gun related and the victims were both male and female.

This is a very scary situation for Birmingham. We all need to be careful and aware of our surroundings at all times.
