Bite This! Takes On the Irish Gold at the Innisfree Pub
It is unofficially summertime in Tuscaloosa. This means the true locals are out and about investigating what Tuscaloosa has to offer minus the college kids.
Somewhere that has been on my hit list to try out is Innisfree Pub, “an Alabama Tradition.” [It’s always packed and my big boss man rants and raves about it.]
Well, on Saturday afternoon, it was like the moon and stars were aligned because we decided at the spur of the moment to go. Plus, I got a parking spot right in the front area. It was meant to be.
My friend and I went in and were instantly greeted by our lovely waitress who was very knowledgeable about all things Innisfree. The menu was straightforward and filled with all kinds of goodies.
My friend got the JT Wrap and I got the Irish Gold wings.
Presentation:
Both our meals were plated nicely and plentiful.
Taste:
My friend said that their JLT Wrap was done to perfection.
With one bite of the Irish Gold wings, I was in love. I’m going on record that these might be the best wings I’ve had in Tuscaloosa. The Irish Gold sauce was very flavorful.
Texture:
Our waffle fries were done – done but I like my fries like that. The texture of the wings were spot on.
Value:
I feel that the pricing was extremely fair.
Overall:
Innisfree, listen up, I can’t wait to go again, I have my taste buds set on your “Over the Top Pub Fries” and the “George Shaw Burger.”
