Soon, and very soon, the kids will be back in school. This means shopping for back-to-school, which can be hard on the pockets. The BORN2Win Outreach is a local outreach ministry formed to serve families and children, and they want to help you.

The Born2Win Summer Blast will be on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park. Come out to enjoy some back-to-school fun. They will be distributing school supplies to families. They will also offer free food, fun and entertainment.

When I asked the Born2Win Outreach Summer Bash coordinator Mattie Hogan why they were hosting the event this year, she let me know that she knows firsthand “what it feels like not to be able to meet all the needs of your family.”

Hogan’s parents raised twelve children, so she knows what it means to go without certain essentials. She also has raised four children as a single mom and has experienced the struggles families often face.  The BORN2Win Outreach ministry wants to offer help in “meeting some essential needs of families will help lighten the burden that some families face.”

If you would like to donate supplies to help local West Alabama families, you can drop off school supplies at Central High School as a central drop-off location from July 26th until July 29th.

Born2Win is “excited to be a part of helping prepare students for a successful school year through serving.” Be sure you come out to Snow Hinton Park on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for the Born2Win Outreach Summer Bash.
