As a cold front moves into the state of Alabama today there will be the chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low end of severe storms for our coverage areas. Please note that the risk areas and timing have changed from our forecast last night.
James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has “defined a "slight risk" (level 2/5) for areas east of I-65, and north of I-85. Much of the rest of the state is in a "marginal risk" (level 1/5), but no severe storms are expected for places like Mobile and Dothan.”
