Coker Woman Charged With Attacking Her Sister With a Knife
A 49-year-old Coker woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly attacked her sister with a knife, according to court documents filed earlier this week.
In a deposition filed Tuesday, deputies with the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office swore that Tina B. Eatmon was with her sister at a home on 15075 Rue Road in Coker when she became furious and grabbed a 12-inch knife.
Witnesses told deputies that Eatmon swore she was going to kill her sister and slashed at her with the blade.
The victim suffered a large cut on her left elbow and a smaller slash at the base of her thumb as she reportedly tried to block Eatmon from injuring her more seriously. She was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
After interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence, deputies found cause to arrest Eatmon and charge her with second-degree assault. She was taken into custody without incident and booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where she has since been released on a $5,000 bond.
