Damien Harris on Alabama-LSU Series: ‘A Lot of Physical Freaks’
Over the past decade, there are few games in college football that have meant as much nationally year-in and year-out as Alabama-LSU. This series has become the premier game on the first weekend in November and has set the tone for the final month of the season.
Crimson Tide running back Damien Harris was asked about the rivalry and what sets this game apart from others.
"There's a lot of great players on the field," Harris said. "Over the past couple of years when you watch this game - Alabama versus LSU - you see 10, 15 guys that all end up playing at the next level. So you've got a lot of talented guys, a lot of physical freaks, and just guys that know how to play football.
"That's what it's going to be this weekend, you know. There's going to be a lot of physical players, a lot of great players, and we're just going to put together a great gameplan this week and have a great week of preparation and try to put our best foot forward on Saturday."
This Saturday will be much like past years. Both teams are ranked in the top 20, national championship goals still exist, and a number of future NFL players will be on both sides of the field.
The two teams will square off at 7 p.m. on CBS. Pregame coverage begins at 2 p.m. on Tide 102.9 and 95.3 the Bear.
