Dense Fog Advisory in Effect Until 8 AM

Add extra time to your commute this morning, as heavy fog will reduce visibility on roadways. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 8 a.m. this morning.

The text of the advisory is as follows:

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Visibility of one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northeast,
  northwest and west central Alabama.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
