After Andrej Wawrzyk failed a pre-fight drugs test, Tuscaloosa native and World Boxing Council heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder was without an opponent for his return.

However, this morning, it was announced Wilder will take on Gerald Washington. Washington, from San Jose, California is currently undefeated. If there's anything you need to know about Washington, it's that he is called, " El Gallo Negro" ( the black rooster), because roosters fight to their death.

Wilder who suffered hand and bicep injuries during his July fight, is fully healthy and excited to return and defend his title.

This fight will mark the ninth time Wilder fights in his home state of Alabama as a pro.

Wilder and Washington are scheduled to fight February 25th at Legacy Arenaat the BJCC.
