Donations for Oklahoma Tornado Victims Will Be Taken at Different Tuscaloosa Area Locations

A devastating tornado with a reported two-mile wide debris cloud tore through Moore, Oklahoma, on Monday. All of the Townsquare Media stations (95.3 the Bear, B101.7FM, 92.9 WTUG, 99.1 WDGM, and 790 WTSK) in Tuscaloosa will be partnering with many area locations as well as Toomer's for Tuscaloosa to take donations for the people of Oklahoma.

We will be collecting items until about 3:30pm-4pm. At that point, we combine all of our donations and load them up on a truck today with a retired Army veteran from Moore, Oklahoma, that happens to be passing through town.

All of our money and gift cards will be given to Toomer's for Tuscaloosa, and they'll make sure it gets to the people in Oklahoma.

Northport Walmart (5710 Mcfarland Blvd) - Location Finished

Northport Chick-Fil-A (1620 McFarland Blvd) - 95.3 The Bear (7am-9:30, 1:30-3:30p), B101.7 (2-4pm)

Tuscaloosa Walmart (1501 Skyland Blvd E) - B101.7 (7-9am), 92.9 WTUG (9am-3pm), 95.3 The Bear (11a-1p)

University Mall (1701 McFarland Blvd E) - Location Finished

Also, we are working with the Target in Norman, Oklahoma, and these are the donations that they suggest giving:

• Gift Cards
• Bug Spray
• Sun Screen
• Packaged Socks and T-Shirts
• Underwear
• Over-the-counter medications

They also emphasized that they do not want water and clothing.
