What Exactly Is Dr. Dre Building in His L.A. Mega-Mansion?
TMZ reports that Dr. Dre is up to something. The superstar billionaire producer has plans to dig up a huge portion of his L.A. mega mansion, (roughly the size of his home), according to building permits obtained by the site.
Right now, it's not clear what Dr. Dre is planning to build—a huge studio, possibly. TMZ reports he's also obtained permits to add retaining walls around his mansion, as well as a guard house.
Dre's mansion, which he bought from Tom Brady and Gisele back in 2014 for $14 million, already sets on four acres in Brentwood and features an infinity pool with ocean and canyon views, a poolside cabana, a gym, an outdoor kitchen and living area, seven fireplaces and a moat. Dre also has another house in Calabasas that he purchased for $4.9 million.
In other Dr. Dre news, Anderson. Paak, who is signed to Dre's Aftermath label, says that he's been instrumental in the work he's been putting in on his anticipated upcoming album.
“He’s got a whole lot of trust in me,” he explained. “He let me just run free. He told me just do your thang. I would love to be a part of it. He told me, do I have to be part of it, no, but I really want to be. I was like you’re definitely going to be a part of this, bro. And we’ve just been going back and forth with this music man for over two years now and just getting the right album that we really feel proud of."
