While no arrests were made, apparently there was a backstage altercation at the seventh annual BET Hip-Hop Awards Saturday evening. Police spokesman Carlos Campos there were no injuries or shots fired, and BET officials told The Associated Press that the awards show was not interrupted.

TMZ is reporting that rappers Rick Ross, 36, and Young Jeezy, 34, were involved in a backstage scuffle during a tribute performance to hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty, who committed suicide last month.

In addition to the tribute to Lighty, the show featured several freestyle sessions that included rapper T.I., B.o.B., Snoop Dogg, E-40 and Cassidy and performances by Rick Ross, P. Diddy, 2 Chainz and Future.  The show will air on BET on Oct. 9.
