Possible Threats

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that the main threat is “Damaging Winds with Gusts up to 60 mph.”

“A cold front will bring a band of showers and thunderstorms into the state tonight. With weak wind fields and limited instability, the risk of a severe storm is very low,” said James Spann, Alabama Weather Network and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist.

Rain Chances

Rainfall totals are expected to reach about one inch in North Alabama, with around half an inch in the southern portion of the state.
