Eggs And Pancakes Are Off The Breakfast Menu For Alabama Inmates

A spokesman for the Alabama Department of Corrections said the agency has stopped feeding inmates pancakes and eggs due to a shortage cause by the avian flu.

48 million birds have lost their lives to this lethal virus so far. Alternative nutritional items will be offered in the absence of pancakes and eggs for the morning meal according to the spokesman for the Alabama Department of Corrections.

The spokesman also said that the ADOC will resume adding eggs and pancakes to the inmates breakfast menu once the supply of eggs are restored.

FYI Alabama sells more than a billion chickens annually.  That’s a lot of chickens!
