TMZ reports that singer El DeBarge was arrested in L.A. for felony vandalism on Friday (July 13).

Law enforcement claims the "Rhythm of the Night" singer got into an argument with a man, who he chased out of a house. The man reportedly ran to a nearby RV and DeBarge followed with a wrench. The man said DeBarge allegedly hit the windshield of the RV, and that's when he called the police.

The 54-year-old singer was arrested for felony vandalism. He reportedly spent one night in jail, posting $20K bail.

The singer/producer has struggled with a drug habit for decades since finding success with his R&B family group, DeBarge in the '80s. In addition to "Rhythm of the Night," the group delivered hits including "All This Love" and "Stay With Me" before El went solo.

Throughout the years the singer has had several run-ins with the law. Back in December 2017, he was accused of pulling a shotgun on his ex-girlfriend. She was later granted a restraining order.
