Elizabeth Baptist Church will welcome church leaders and members from across Alabama for the 120th Northwest District State Annual Session, an auxiliary of the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention, July 13 to 15.

The press release said that “The three-day convention is expected to bring hundreds of pastors, church leaders, delegates and visitors from across Alabama to the City of Tuscaloosa.”

Centered on the theme of the "21st Century Baptists: Seizing the Promise While Standing on the Principles,” attendees will experience worship, spiritual renewal, Christian education, fellowship, and ministry.

Attendees can expect inspirational preaching, dynamic worship services, leadership development, auxiliary meetings, and opportunities for fellowship throughout the convention.

The public is invited to attend several featured events during the convention. Elizabeth Baptist Church is located at 2650 Elizabeth Street, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401.

“President Turner and President Swift have faithfully served the Northwest District by providing visionary leadership and strengthening churches through Christian education, missions, evangelism and community outreach,” said the press release.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
