In the event of a tornado or straight line winds do you have a plan? Where’s the safest place in the house. Is it safer in the basement or in the bathroom? What do you if you are at work, at the grocery store, driving or at the movies when a tornado hits?

Knowing the answers to those questions could save your life. You need to have a plan for severe thunder storms, straight line winds and tornadoes.

Straight line winds are winds produced by thunder storms that reach at least 58 miles per hour. Straight line winds can get up 80 mile per hour and can last up to 20 minutes. Straight line winds are as dangerous as tornadoes.

Be safe, have plan and make sure everyone knows the plan and how to execute it.
