It is well documented that I 20/59, a major highway running through Tuscaloosa, has heavy activity from human traffickers.  In fact, many area hotels are hot beds (pun intended) for suspicious activity.

With this in mind, the new management of the Windham by Wynfrey is hosting a forum on human trafficking tonight.  The hotel is working with local law enforcement to establish a reputation of being a safe location for potential travelers. Lt. Darren Beams of the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force is the special guest.

Then at 6:30, the Impact Nation Fellowship Church (1110 26th Ave East; Tuscaloosa, AL 35404) will host a community forum on trafficking, where the various forms of trafficking, where they're likely to occur, and information on how to protect yourself and your family will be discussed.

In this day and time, it is important for everyone to be as safe and aware as possible.  It's great to see businesses and churches working to serve their communities rather than simply being recipients.
