Get Info on Becoming a Foster Parent at Info Session Thursday

If you've ever considered the thought of becoming a foster parent, you don't want to miss this informational session.

Perhaps you're an empty nester with lots of love to give or a person (couple, or family included) looking to make the difference in future generations. Whatever the case, if the love of children has built a desire to parent one or more children, you should consider becoming a foster parent.

Luckily, you don't have to go through the process alone.

Alabama Mentor is hosting a gathering at Calvary Baptist Church (1121 Paul W. Bryant Dr) on Thursday, August 16 from 6 pm until 7 pm to provide information on what it takes to become a foster parent as well as the support given to foster parents.

The fact of the matter is that there are children who are in need of homes.  Sometimes, there's a short-term placement; and sometimes, it can be a long-term commitment.  Whatever the length, foster parents are everyday heroes.
