Remember when we could simply inbox each other on Facebook, even using mobile devices? But what did Facebook do? Forced us to download Messenger. And what comes with that? Messenger calling!

Now, I don't know about anybody else, but I thought that the purpose of including or excluding your phone number on your profile was to allow the user the option of determining how a person might contact him/her. All of that went away with Messenger!

It doesn't matter if a person has your direct number or not if they still have the ability to call you whenever they get ready.  When I tell you I hate it, I HATE IT! Let me tell you why. Oftentimes, I'll receive calls from people I barely know.  Therefore, I have no conversation for them. In addition, I'm quite busy. So, the last thing I want to do is make small talk with a stranger. I'd prefer that person to send me a message, and I'll respond at my convenience.

I hate when people call me through Messenger, unless it's a video call from someone with whom I am familiar and really want to see. Am I alone in this? Does anyone know of a way to block certain people from calling through Messenger, short of unfriending or blocking that person? If so, please tell us how in the comments section.
