According to Corporal Reginal M. King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, “The roadway is clear.”

As you make your commute today in Tuscaloosa, stay alert and check ahead when traveling in Tuscaloosa County on Interstate 20/59.
Corporal Reginal M. King with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said that a “single-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle occurred at approximately 5:11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, has caused a lane closure.
Location of Lane Closure
At the time of this report, “the southbound lanes of Interstate 59 near the 62-mile marker in Tuscaloosa County are now blocked and will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is currently on scene assisting with traffic control,” said King.
How to Get Around
The southbound traffic is being diverted at Joe Mallisham Parkway.
This is a developing story and traffic situation and there is an investigation going on with Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division on the scene.
