Jayshawn Ross, a four-star, is the latest addition to Alabama's 2024 class. Ross is the 13th four-star commitment in Alabama's class, joining Spanish Fort's Sterling Dixon in the 2024 edge room.

With the likely departures of Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell following the Crimson Tide's 2023-2024 playoff run, Alabama will be in search of extra depth on the edge of the defensive line.

in 2023 at Liberty North High School in Kansas City, Missouri, Ross accumulated 23 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble, and one safety. Ross also saw snaps offensively, recording 12 catches for 254 yards and four touchdowns.

Ross visited Alabama in November, a couple of days after receiving an offer. Ross committed to the Crimson Tide just two days before national signing day.

He joins an edge room full of talent and will look to be developed by one of the best coaches in the country. He'll be behind a room of young talent, including Keon Keeley, Yhonzae Pierre, Keanu Koht, and Quandarrius Robinson.

Alabama's class is ranked third in the country according to some recruiting models and second in the SEC. Ross could potentially be one of many additions to the Crimson Tide's 2024 class this week, with the typical early signing day antics expected on Wednesday.
