The staff has kept it rolling into March, landing another commitment, this time from 2025 four-star athlete Zymear Smith.

Smith held offers from Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas, among others. The six-foot, 170-pound athlete was on a visit to Alabama earlier in the week and earned an offer from the Crimson Tide in February. He was on an unofficial visit on March 8, the day before he committed.

In a quote after the commitment, Smith said, "Their defensive scheme matches my play style & I feel that it would be best for my future.”

The Crimson Tide should continue to heat up on the recruiting trail, with over 70 players on campus over the week and weekend on unofficial and some official visits.

During his junior season, Smith starred on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he had 80 carries for 670 yards and eight touchdowns. He also reeled in 12 receptions for 427 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Smith had 22 tackles and three interceptions.
