Former Tide Players Set To Test the NFL Free Agency Market
We are less than a week away from the free agency start date for the NFL, and on March 9th, teams will be able to begin negotiations with players hitting the market. Among them are 12 former Crimson Tide players who could find a new home for the 2026-27 season.

Alabama has been nothing but consistent when it comes to producing talent at the next level, producing 97 players drafted since 2007 and 467 since the draft started in 1936. As the new league year is set to start on March 11th at 4 pm EST, 11 Tide players will be hoping for a new contract and a potential new home.
Here's a list of the 12 former Tide players hitting free agency:
Defensive back Josh Jobe (Formerly of the Seattle Seahawks)
Running back Brian Robinson Jr. (San Francisco 49ers)
Linebacker Christian Harris (Houston Texans)
Offensive tackle Evan Neal (New York Giants)
Offensive tackle Cam Robinson (Cleveland Browns)
Defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand (Los Angeles Chargers)
Defensive back Jaylin Armour-Davis (Tennessee Titans)
Defensive back Trevon Diggs (Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers)
Running back Najee Harris (Los Angeles Chargers)
Offensive tackle Jonah Williams (Arizona Cardinals)
Defensive Lineman Jonathan Allen (Minnesota Vikings)
A notable player is former Chargers running back Najee Harris, who is coming off a torn Achilles tendon suffered in week three of the 2025 season. Harris, who spent four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers worth $5.2 million.
The Tide have four former First Round picks all set to hit the market in OL Evan Neal, RB Najee Harris, OT Jonah Williams, and DL Jonathan Allen. Neal was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, where he spent four years, but did not have his 5th year option picked up.
Offensive lineman Jonah Williams was selected in the 1st round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he spent five years before signing a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in 2024. Williams was a two-time first-team SEC during his time with the Crimson Tide from 2016 to 2018.
Former Alabama DL Jonathan Allen was with the Tide from 2013 to 2016. He was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the 2017 NFL draft, where he spent seven years. Allen signed a three-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025 worth $60 million. After just one season with the Vikings, Allen was released and is now a free agent.
Find out where these former Crimson Tide stars end up next week when the NFL Free Agency period begins next Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
