The game was in American Christian's control throughout the entire game. After holding the Hornets to a three-and-out on their first drive, Kai Young and the Patriot's offense mixed passing and running to get on the board first. Davis Dare started the scoring off with a 25-yard rushing touchdown, the two-point conversion was also good.

The scoring continued for the Patriots with help from the defense. After holding the Hornets yet again to a three and out deep into their own territory, the special teams went after the punter and the punter shanked a punt. The punt only went to about the Hornet's 35-yard line where Eric Hines returned the punt for six.

Sadly for the Hornets, the rout was just getting started. On the next drive, Dare who plays both RB and receiver picked off a deep pass from the Dallas County Qb. To reward the great play, Coach Martin decided to give Dare a screen pass which he took to the house from 26 yards out.

Another stop by the Patriot's defense gave Young and the offense yet another short field. Just like all of their possessions so far, the Patriots ran the ball right through the Hornets D-Line. This time the touchdown was scored by Jackson Willingham who ran it in from 6 yards out.

The only good news for the Hornets is they did not lie down, they tried to fight but Dallas County was outmanned in every way possible tonight. After a blocked punt by the Patriots special teams, Logan Pepper put in the fifth touchdown of the half from five yards out.

The route continued throughout the first half as American Chrisitan would put in two more touchdowns before the half. The first was another running touchdown but this time it was the longest of the day. RB Christian Davis runs it in from 71 yards out to extend the lead in the first half. The second was a 7-yard rush by Kai Young after a defender bit on a read option. The score is now 49-0 (seven touchdowns).

Finally, before the end of the first half, Dallas County got on the board. With barely a minute remaining in the half QB Kodell Sharp led his team right down the field before halftime and put up a TD. He threw a beautiful fade route to Cedric Simmons.

By the start of the second half, the teams both agreed on a running clock but American Chrisitan did not put the foot of the gas. On the first play of the second half, Backup QB Drew Jackson runs it up the middle for 45 yards to score yet another touchdown. Jackson got his second rushing touchdown after the Defense from four yards out. The offense would score a field goal to get to the final for ACA at 64 points.

Dallas County would get moral victories throughout the game and one of the moral victories was a Kodell Sharp threw a 60-yard strike to Kayren Curtis to give the Hornets another TD.

"I am very proud of our team and their preparation throughout the week," said Coach Martin. "With homecoming week comes many distractions but our players took the distractions and put them aside. They came out ready to play and I am very proud".

With this win, Coach Martin and his team improved to 5-2 and next week they stay at home and play the West Blocton Tigers. Sadly for the Hornets, they continue to be winless this season as next week they travel to play Hale County Wildcats.
