According to Chris Low of ESPN, the Nick Saban Era at Alabama has ended. Low reports Saban told his team the news at a Wednesday afternoon meeting.

He is considered the greatest college football coach of all time.

AD Greg Byrne will hit his rolodix quickly to line up a successor.

Possibilities include Dan Lanning at Oregon, Mike Norvell of Florida State, Dabo Swinney of Clemson and several other.
