The Minnesota Vikings have selected Dallas Turner with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft after trading with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In three seasons with Alabama, Turner totaled 120 tackles, 22.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass broken up. NFL teams fell in love with Turner's testing and length, standing at 6-foot-4, 252 pounds according to the Alabama website.

Dallas Turner was not an immediate starter at Alabama but was forced into the starting position due to injuries on the Crimson Tide roster. During his freshman season, he was third on the depth chart behind Chris Allen and Drew Sanders. Allen broke his foot in the 2021 season opener against the Miami Hurricanes, leading to Sanders earning an opportunity to start. Sanders suffered a hand injury and exited the lineup just before the Tide's loss to Texas A&M. Turner got his opportunity and never let go, becoming an enforcer as an edge rusher for the Tide.
