TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - It wasn't a pretty performance, but the Alabama Crimson Tide handled its business at home on Saturday night, defeating the LSU Tigers 20-9 under the lights in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Quarterback Ty Simpson completed 21 of 35 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown, adding eight rushing yards in the victory as well.

The Tide's leading rusher was sophomore Daniel Hill, who only had 21 yards on the night. In the receiving game, Alabama was led by Germie Bernard with three receptions for 79 yards. Fifth-year senior linebacker Deontae Lawson led the Crimson Tide with nine tackles on the evening, including 0.5 tackles for loss in the victory over the LSU Tigers.
The win improves Alabama to 8-1 on the season and 6-0 in Southeastern Conference play, with just three games left in the regular season and two games left in SEC play. Alabama's next game will come next Saturday, November 15, when the Crimson Tide welcomes the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners.
