Alabama Sophomore Offensive Lineman Named to Outland Trophy Watchlist

Alabama sophomore offensive lineman Michael Carroll was named to the Outland Trophy Preseason Watchlist on Tuesday morning, as announced by the Football Writers Association of America.

Carroll is the lone returning starter on Alabama's offensive line from last season, where he started six games at right tackle for Kalen DeBoer's offense. This season, he is expected to move to right guard for the Crimson Tide as Alabama looks to bolster its offensive line after a 2025 season that did not hold up to the Alabama standard.

Semifinalists for the Outland Trophy will be announced on November 18, with three finalists announced on November 24. The Outland Trophy will be presented on ESPN's College Football Awards Show in December.
