
No. 24 Alabama Softball Fell to No. 9 FSU on Wednesday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On Wednesday, the No. 9 Florida State Seminoles defeated the No. 24 Alabama Crimson Tide in a 5-2 comeback win.

In the bottom of the first inning, Kali Heivilin hit out to right field, which allowed for Audrey Vandagriff to score and advance Abby Duchscherer to third, giving the Crimson Tide an early 1-0 lead. Alexis Pupillo followed behind her, sending one to right field, which allowed Duchscherer to score and take a 2-0 lead. However, in the fourth inning, Jahni Kerr got things going for the Seminoles, sending a ball to deep outfield to tie it up.
In the sixth inning, Katie Dack's three-run home run put the Seminoles ahead 5-2. The Crimson Tide fought until the last pitch in an attempt to reclaim the lead or tie it up to send the game into extra innings, but were unable to respond.
The victory improved the Seminoles' record to 26-5 with a six-game winning streak, while the Crimson Tide's record moved to 21-10.
Next, the Crimson Tide will travel to College Station, Texas, to take on No. 6 Texas A&M in a Southeastern Conference showdown series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. CT, streaming on SEC Network and available through Catfish 100.1 FM.
