Despite the three-year national championship drought, irrational hatred of the Alabama Crimson Tide is definitely alive and well, and the internet's reaction to Nick Saban's acquisition of a Ferrari Portofino M proves it.

Saban invested in Prancing Horse of Nashville, Tennessee's only Ferrari dealership, in 2022. In the last couple of weeks, Saban announced to the world that he was now the proud owner of an Italian stallion himself when he parked his Portofino M outside the Dixie Air Services hangar at Tuscaloosa National Airport, the home of the University's 2011 Cessna jet that Saban uses for recruiting trips.

Well, the fans of teams without 18 national championships lost their ever-loving collective minds.

There was the typical hating on people who have nice things.

Some simply tried to diminish Saban's car because it wasn't one of Ferrari's Hal-million dollar or more models.

There was, of course, much plucking of the low-hanging fruit that was Saban using two spaces for the car.

Unsurprisingly, most of the hate came from fans of teams Saban has spent most of his Tuscaloosa tenure humiliating year-in and year-out.

Others seemed to take issue with Saban making investments in Tennessee for reasons beyond common sense.

Some went so far as to accuse Saban of taking advantage of the young men that he coaches into the opportunity to sign multi-million dollar contracts at the next level.
