Temperature Highlights

Alabamians can expect a July filled with weather conditions that continue the already hot June we have experienced.

Portions of Northern Alabama will experience “mostly above” average temperatures while the remainder of the Yellowhammer State will be “above,” said The Weather Channel.

July is typically Alabama's hottest month. On average, temperatures reach 90 degrees or higher in July.

Precipitation Thoughts

The Weather Channel said Alabama could face “slightly below” precipitation during July.

The Old Farmer's Almanac has predicted that the “Deep South will have to “watch for a hurricane early in the month—as well as for a tropical storm at midmonth that may also affect the Texas coast.”

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
