City of Tuscaloosa Receives Grant
The Alabama Department of Transportation has awarded the city of Tuscaloosa an Alabama transportation rehabilitation and improvement program ATRIP grant.

The funding total is $3,468,500, which consists of an ATRIP award amount of $2 million.
The local amount of $1,468,500 will be used for the reconstruction of Julia Tutwiler Drive and improvements on Campus Drive.
The ATRIP program was created to improve and rehabilitate transportation infrastructure related to the state-maintained highway system.
This is an effort to improve public safety and economic growth.
