Black History Maker of Alabama - Cory T. Moore
Cory T. Moore stands as a committed educator, accomplished musician, motivational coach, and devoted husband. With a fervent dedication to nurturing the love for learning, he has dedicated 22 years to shaping young minds as a middle school teacher. His approach not only imparts knowledge but also cultivates a genuine passion for learning among his students. In addition, he takes pride in creating a trusting environment where students feel comfortable confiding in him, going the extra mile to ensure their needs are met both inside and outside the classroom.
In the realm of music, his talents shine as he has founded choirs and served as a church musician for an impressive 27 years. Currently, he contributes his musical gifts at Bethel Baptist Church, a place where his father, Rev. Schmitt Moore, has ministered for four decades.
Cory's coaching abilities extend far beyond the confines of the classroom, reaching into the realm of athletics where he mentors and guides young athletes. Through his coaching, he instills the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those he mentors.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a loving husband, celebrating 17 years of marriage with Latonya Moore, and is the proud father of two wonderful children. His unwavering support and love form a sturdy foundation for his family, bringing fulfillment to his relationships with his loved ones.
Black History recognition in Alabama is important because the struggle and sacrifices others made on our behalf should never go unnoticed. We ARE because of those who came before us.
