Back-to-School Praise Rally Set for Aug. 26

As students settle into a new school year, one Tuscaloosa church is inviting the community to come together for an evening of worship, encouragement and celebration.

The Back-to-School Praise Rally will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa, located at 2610 Greensboro Avenue. Admission is free, and organizers are encouraging students, parents, families and community members to attend.

The evening will feature a special musical performance by Glorified of Tuscaloosa, along with praise and worship led by Terrence Isaac.

Guests will also hear words of encouragement from Dr. Ramsey O'Daniel, pastor of Christ Baptist Church, while Rev. Will Sterling will serve as host for the event.

A special welcome will be provided by Stillman College President Dr. Yolanda W. Page, who will greet attendees as students prepare for another academic year.

In addition to the program, Backpack Connections will provide 50 free backpacks on a first-come, first-served basis, helping students begin the school year with essential supplies.

Organizers say the rally is designed to encourage students spiritually while bringing families and the community together to pray for a successful and safe school year.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early, especially families hoping to receive one of the free backpacks.

The Back-to-School Praise Rally is free and open to the public.
