In the wake of the tragic death of Rashid Little at Cru Lounge in Tuscaloosa, the business now has a petition started to keep their business open.

"The incident that occurred is in no way a reflection of who we are, our guiding principles, and our policies," the petition states.

"We, the owners, would never want or condone anything that occurred that night. Our thoughts and prayers have been and continue to be with those impacted."

The petition has a goal of 1,000 signatures and at the time of writing this article, it has 861 signatures.

The goal of the petition is to keep the business open despite the death of 28 year old Rashid Little.

"We are in dire need of our supporters at this time. It is with a humble heart that we ask you all to please sign this petition to Save CRU Tuscaloosa," the petition states.

"Despite recent headlines and stories regarding CRU Tuscaloosa, we have been a place of entertainment and joy for our guests and a family and place of stability for our staff."

As recently reported by the Thread, a woman filed a lawsuit claiming that she was attacked there the night security at the lounge beat and fatally shot Rashid Little.

The Thread has already reported on the deadly shooting and the arrest of CRU security guard Aaron Hill, who has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Rashid Little.
