Pony On The Loose! TPD Shares Mugshot After Pony Foot-Pursuit
The cause of the big commotion in Alberta Monday evening has finally been revealed.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department said that a lost pony had been the cause.
According to a Facebook post from TPD, they received a call about a small pony loitering near 30th Avenue East and First Street East in Alberta.
Pizza crusts, nor peppermints, worked as officers attempted to lure the small pony out of the neighborhood.
According to the Facebook post, three officers engaged in a low-speed pursuit where they followed the pony up and down driveways, and through backyards for close to two hours.
The pony, who TPD has temporarily named Ginuwine, has been caught and is safe. The Tuscaloosa Police Department is currently searching for his owner but has arranged for a permanent home in case the owner isn't found.
The public is being asked to call Investigator Hopeman at 205-248-4780 with information regarding this pony's owner.
