Northport’s First 7 Brew Is Now Open, With Free Drinks On Offer Through Friday
Northport’s first 7 Brew drive-thru coffee stand is now open and officially serving customers Monday, becoming the extremely popular brand's third location in the Tuscaloosa area.
The stand sits on the same highway corridor as University Beach, the $350 million lagoon resort under construction in Northport, putting a coffee drive-thru within sight of one of the largest development projects in West Alabama.

Free Drinks and Free Shirts
To celebrate the opening, the Northport stand is running what 7 Brew calls "Community Hours, with free small drinks from 8 to 9 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. each day this week until Through Friday. The offer is limited to one drink per customer present.
Saturday is Swag Day, running from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Anyone who buys a large drink gets a free shirt while supplies last.
Before opening day, the Northport coffee stand held a Caffeine for a Cause promotion benefiting the Nick’s Kids Foundation.
7 Brew was founded in 2017 in Northwest Arkansas and has been operated since 2020 by Brew Culture LLC. The company says it now has more than 700 stands across 38 states including always-crowded locations on 15th Street and Skyland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa.
The chain is built around customization. Its menu is organized into seven categories, including coffee, energy drinks, fizz sodas, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes, and the company says that using various syrups, milk and dairy alternatives, toppings and more, they offer more than 20,000 possible drink combinations.
Customers can add shots, stack flavors, dial sweetness to a quarter, half, regular or extra, swap in oat, coconut or almond milk, and finish with cream, whipped cream, cold foam or a drizzle.
Signature drinks include the Blondie, a vanilla and caramel breve, and the Sweet and Salty, made with salted caramel and white chocolate. The non-coffee side runs from a Pink Mermaid fizz soda to a Tiger’s Blood Piña Colada smoothie.
Drive-Thru Brew on the Way to the Beach?
The 7 Brew sits not far from the giant mountain of dirt marking the site where the $350 million University Beach resort is planned.
Below-ground construction broke ground in January on Highway 82 in Northport, and "vertical construction" of key features and buildings could begin before the end of the year. The first phase includes a beach club built around a 10-acre lagoon and water park, along with an events center.
Developers have also said they will prioritize construction of a luxury Marriott hotel on the site to rival the Alamite in downtown Tuscaloosa, with Northport's Harrison Construction Co. tapped for the build.
