Tuscaloosa, Northport and several other municipalities in the state of Alabama are set to participate in another back-to-school sales tax holiday this weekend.

A release from the city of Tuscaloosa says both local and state sales tax will be waived on select, school-related products between Friday, July 21 and Sunday, July 23.

The annual initiative saves those shopping for back to school supplies 10%.

Tax-free items this weekend, per the state of Alabama:

  • Clothing priced at $100 or less per article
  • School supplies valued at $50 or less per item
  • Books that cost $30 or less
  • Laptops, computers, tablets and printers with a selling price of $750 or less

The weekend starts Friday, July 21 at 12:01 a.m. and ends at midnight on Sunday, July 23.
