DCH Leadership Team Grows As Longtime Head of Construction & Engineering Returns
The modern leadership team at Tuscaloosa's DCH Health System continues to grow as a familiar face returns to the hospital to oversee its construction and engineering projects.
David Roberts, who already served DCH for more than 20 years, will return to serve as its Vice President of Construction and Engineering later next month.
The System shared the news in a Monday press release and said Roberts will leave his position at the University of Alabama, where was employed as contract manager for all facilities owned by the Alabama Department of Mental Health in Tuscaloosa.
That role included management of all construction, renovation and capital improvement work at Bryce Hospital, the Mary Starke Harper Geriatric Psychiatry Center and Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility.
While he was at DCH, he supervised core projects including Tuscaloosa's iconic and first-class Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
“I am extremely pleased to have David return to DCH in this role,” said DCH Senior Vice President Luke Standeffer in a release. “His extensive experience and expertise in health care and construction will be invaluable as we continue to expand and improve the services we provide for the community.”
Roberts completed a master’s degree in chemical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from The University of Alabama.
