The well-being children is one of the most discussed concerns amid the current coronavirus pandemic .

In addition to education and proper nutrition, safety, social development, and mental health are all areas where organizations which depended on school access are fighting for strategy and innovative techniques to reach the youth.

One such organization is the Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation, which has a mission to ensure better lives for community youth through suicide prevention and other educational resources.

The foundation is in the planning stages for its Second Annual Strike Out Suicide Bowling Night, to be held at Bowlero Tuscaloosa on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

This event presents a fun opportunity to interact with others while also raising money and awareness of a serious issue. Youth suicide is said to be the second leading cause of death for ages 10-24 as well as the second leading cause of death for college-age youth and ages 12-18.

In addition, The Parent Resource Program says that each day in our nation, there are an average of over 3,069 attempts by people grades 9-12 and that if grades 7 and 8 were included, the numbers would be higher. Source.

Because the event is being held on Halloween, participants are encouraged to wear costumes and help to create a fun, festive atmosphere beyond the bowling.

Businesses and individuals interested in being sponsors for this event should contact the Kristen Amerson Youth Foundation here.
