James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that “wet weather returns Wednesday and Thursday with periods of rain statewide. Thunderstorms could be involved, especially Thursday when the air becomes unstable. A few strong storms can't be ruled out.”

Currently, there is the possibility of severe thunderstorms on Thursday and the National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Central Alabama. The primary threats are “large hail and damaging wind gusts.”
