Local Community Colleges Seek Funds For a Thriving Work Force

The Money is out there you just have to go get it, community colleges all over west Alabama is seeking funds to get people trained to fill the demanding workforce needed in the future. The funds will be made available sometime in the future, one just needs to go and apply for it when it's ready.

The Alabama Community College System board of trustees is pushing for a $20 million budget increase for workforce development, the Opelika-Auburn News (http://bit.ly/2ikkTI8) reported. The trustees on Wednesday approved the system's legislative agenda as part of a $28.5 million requested budget increase.

If this is passed it would open the opportunity for so many kids to get a decent education moving forward. It just needs to be approved.
