Massive Wreck Closes Highway 43 in Northport

A wreck early this morning is causing major traffic delays in Northport. At least six vehicles were involved in the accident, one of which turned upside down. One apparently took a power pole, taking out power for the area.

The wreck happened at the intersection of McFarland (US 82) at US 43 in Northport, right by the Northport Civic Center. All lanes at this intersection are currently closed.
